Frequently Asked Questions
How much?
Annual fees are due in November and are currently $150. This amount is partially set by our local district in Indiana and the rest is used to buy supplies, equipment, gear, and do fun things with the kids. Camping fees typically run about $25 – $45 based on the activity.
Is there assistance available?
Yes, both with annual fees and Ransburg Summer Camp. Fundraising is a point of emphasis now with 2 large earning events slated for the fall and a continuous fundraiser with Scrips (% sent to account when buying gift cards).

Zion United Church of Christ (8916 E Troy Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46239) SW corner of Post and Troy.
When do you meet?
Weekly on Wednesday, 6:30-8pm
How old does my child need to be to join Boy Scouts?
Youth can join Scouts BSA if they have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old, OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, OR are age 11 but have not reached age 18.
My child is in sports/band/choir/student ministry/school club, can they still be in scouts?
Absolutely! While we meet weekly we know kids are involved in a lot these days and come when they can. We encourage but don’t demand/require attendance. Often outside interests / activities meet requirements to earn merit badges and rank advancement.
