Troop 1776 camps every month but scouts pick and choose which is best for them. Camping is an integral part of scouts and a great time to bond with new and old friends.
Summer Camp
Our troop attends Ransburg Scout Reservation annually in Bloomington, IN on beautiful Lake Monroe. The camp is 7 days, 6 nights, and one of the top 5 scout camps in the US. This week of camp is one of the most anticipated events of the year and while the boys have a blast at camp they work hard to earn a wide variety of merit badges.
Weekly meetings
We gather weekly and are a part of each other’s lives. The troop is led by a head scout called the Senior Patrol Leader. He is responsible for creating and carryout each meeting. Some meetings are focused on merit badges and advancement, others on outdoor skills, and some are just having fun together as a troop.
